O2 Sensor

Hi ,

I have tryed to measure the o2 value , like described in the article on this page but I always get values between 1.64 Volts idle and 1.92 Volts full throttle but there is writen vlue must be under 1 Volt. Does somebody know whats wrong ,is the o2 sensor damaged or did i take the wrong line?

Thank you for helping me.

Sounds like something isnt right. Even when o2's are bad they dont read over 1v. Is it a heated o2? The stock ones only have one wire. 02's cycle to fast for a meter to get any valuble information. Its posible that is just what your meter gets from the signal.

There are a couple things you need to check. Verify that the ground reference you are using for your meter is a good, clean ground. Also verify that the exhaust manifold is grounded to the engine with no resistance. Disconnect the O˛ sensor from the wiring harness, and check the voltage at the wiring harness connector (referenced to ground). You should read about 450mV (˝VDC). If not, you'll need to check all the ECM connections, and especially the grounding for the ECM.
