OK, had to change the lock cylinder on the column yesterday and since then the wipers
will come up a few inches and go right back down. In order to diagnose the problem I dropped the column and check the actual ignition switch before removing the wheel and replacing the cylinder. I'm sure all the wires etc got hooked back up. I would think if I didn't connect something right tey just wouldn't work, not sort of work!?
