Fuel Pressure Relief?

I am wanting to get an electronic fuel pressure gauge but to put the sender in it would have to go on the fuel line somewhere in the engine bay. How do you go about relieving the pressure in the line before you put the sender on?

Fuel Injected car?

Your info on the engine doesn't show, so I can't tell if you have a fuel injected car or not. If you do, installing your sender can be as easy as getting a little brass union of the two correct thread sizes from your local hardware and screwing it onto the Shrader valve fitting on your fuel rail if its a TPI system. That's what I did anyway and it worked fine.

Good Luck!

Sorry I forgot to mention that it was a 350 tpi engine. So you dont need to depressurize the fuel line to put the fitting on?

Nope, just let it set a little while before you start, and have a small towel handy when you put the new Shrader valve fitting on. At least that's what worked for me when I did it. I actually put a "T" fitting on mine. That way I had the electronic dash guage sender on one side of it and could still hook up a mechanical gauge under the hood when I needed to (like when adjusting fuel pressure settings).

Good Luck!
