heater only works at one speed

it is starting to get really cold here, so i would like to get my heater to work properly. right now, it wont switch speeds. it only stays on the lowest one. i have replaced the actual fan, and the heater control switch. so far, no luck. what should i do, when it rains its hard to see cuz the defroster doesnt work properly.

thanks

daniel

There is a set of blower resistors mounted on the top of the heater box in the engine compartment.

You will see about 5 or so wires going to a plug that is held into the heater box with 2 9/32 bolts.

Remove this and look at the coils. If any are broken, there is your problem.

I have gad this problem as well. One of my buddies pointed out that my vacuum hoses were routed wrong under my hood. There are vacuum hoses that help to control the blower for you car. Check those out as well.

Good luck!

The vac. hoses don't control the blower speed, they just control where the air come out of.
