Help my brakes sound like a 4X4 tire roaring down the road

I recently had to replace the front brakes on my 91 Z28. I had the rotors turned, took everything off packed the bearings and put on Bendix titanium mettalic pads. drove the car and the wheels got hot as heck you could smell them and even a little smoke, so I took them back off and replaced the calipers because I figured they were sticking 163,000 miles original calipers. Put everything back together drove it don't get hot anymore and brakes work fine but they roar like a 4X4 tire going down the road
any ideas

Were the bearings good?

Did you check for any scoring on them??

Sounds like a bearing problem.

Are they set too tight??

Not sure but check the rotors. Could you have possibly worped them with that much heat?

I checked the bearings they looked good no scoring. I don't think they are to tight just tightened them down then backed off to the next notch for the cotter pin like usual.
