car acting very weird!!!!

My 1992 camaro has started acting very strange. My SES light came on and I pulled the codes. I found that I have a bad O2 sensor. Today my car has started tp ping very bad when I press the gas( easy or heavy load) and the engine takes a while to idle down at a red light. My question is will this sensor cause all of these problems or do I need to dig further into the problems listed above. Please Help!!!!!!!!!!!

Replace that sensor, its not a big hassle for how bad it cam make your car run. If that doesn't fix it, post again. Relatively cheap thing that really needs to be done, your car only runs as well as the sensors can allow it. If a sensor is giving your ecu crap, your car will probably run like crap =p

I would change the sensor , I think they sould be changed every 30,000 miles or so according to the manual, it cant hurt. As for the idling problem your having, I think you may want to check your ignition timing, I had just about the same problem your having but mine was also reving up to high RPMs and then dropping to almost stalling for no reason. It acted like it would be a bad sensor, vaccume leak or something but all it turned out to be was my ignition timing was about 10 degrees advanced when it should be 0 degrees with the timing bypass disconnected and it was sending my computer into fits!!!! I dont know if this is your problem but it might be worth your time to check the timing. Good luck
