Sell my L98 GTA's for a 88 Monte SS?

I've always loved the 1987 - 88 T - top Monte Carlo SS's...whats you're opinion on them compared to our cars....should I buy one.

Right now I have 2 1988 Mint hardtop L98 GTA's, one black, one dark red, both cars have 100,000 miles.

An over weight, full frame car with a 305. You can always rip out the 305 and drop in any GM big block with no problems.

A better factory performer that still has good looks like the SS is a Buick Grand National or GNX. Even just a T-type can be made to perform better that the SS.

Didn't some of those Monte's have a 350? I remember picking up a tech manual off the shelf once and seeing VIN codes for a 350 in a Monte.

I used to have a 1980 Monte Carlo with a 305 orginally, replaced with mild 350......what a dog compared to my modified 1988 GTA.

I've always been a fan of the G-Bodies, another great platform GM tossed away. I've always been partial to the styling of the Olds Cutlass; though GM never really made a good performance version (and I don't think their Hurst version is either).

I still think about gettting a 307 version, yanking the motor and dropping a Olds 455 in it...the car the Hurst Olds should have been.

But for someone needing a larger car with a real rear seat and trunk, I still think you can't go to wrong with a G Body.
