Will a kit like that work for Vortec cylinder heads? I am going to swap out springs and put in my Isky 235-D's, however.

Should. You'll need to do some machine work for the screw-in studs/guide plates and stem seals. The guides shouldn't be needed.
What cam/lifter type do you have?

For this engine i am using the Lunati Bracket Mast II series.
292/292 adv duration
230/230 @ .050"
.486/.486 lift (with 1.52 pro mags)
109 LSA
The lifters are the lifters that come with the set.
The tecs are in the shop getting the guide bosses milled, machined for screw in studs, amongst the normal shop work.
That kit comes with "cheater" springs. What the heck are those?
