vacuum switch

On my 85 camaro there are two switches screwed into the thermostat housing. One is the temp sensor but I need to know what the one with two vacuum ports is called and is it a dealer item or will a parts store have it?

That is the "EGR Thermal Vacuum Switch". A parts store that carries AC/Delco should be able to get it. It sends vacuum to the EGR diaphragm when the throttle is opened far enough to uncover the port in the carb that feeds the vacuum out to the switch, and passes it through only when the engine is fully warmed up.
