Oxygen Sensor??

Oxygen Sensor??

I don't know the last time my oxygen sensor was replaced so I am gonna replace it. How difficult is it to do and do you guys have any tips or suggestions on what kind to get.

If you can change spark plugs yourself, you can change the O² sensor easily.

I'd suggset a Delphi or Bosch replacement.

If you check the DIY Prom board...Rbob recommends NOT using Bosch as do a few others...quality issues and the fact that the Delco sensors appear to be more "tuned" for GM ECMs...

Go with Delco.

Not to argue, but that may depend on the year. My original O² was made for GM by Bosch, just like the MAF, the injectors, and a few other key bits. That changed later, but was the standard in '86 AFAIK.

I suppose using a Delphi O² would be the safest, since it should be correct regardless of who actually made the part in the box.
