Will K&N Air Filter Give Me Any More Performance?
Will K&N Air Filter Give Me Any More Performance?
Hey guys, Ive got the 82 Z28 with CFI injection, and was wondering if I spend money to get the air filter, will I notice any diff? If so, how big of one can I expect? and im not posting to hear trash talk on my crossfire engine, everyone usually feels good about themselves to bad mouth it, I dont want that, Im trying to do what I can, so please give me any info you might have, and where I can get two of them for a good price, thanks again peoples
I think it has been said that for the k&n to actually show a noticable difference you must have some kind of aftermarket induction, like that performance induction system banner above to the left. Otherwise it doesn't need to flow better.

Either way you look at it, don't expect to get "amazing" gains from this mod. You probably won't actually notice a difference in performance, but I would bet you'd see it on a dyno run. Try this test first... Just take the air filters completely out of the airboxes first to see if you notice anything. If so, then you will know at least that the increased airflow up there is making a noticeable difference. If you like it, then get the K&N's. I got my 2 K&N's out of Summit. They probably have the best price...
