How can I...

Well first off my starter is completely dead. It just had to die at the side of the road and not the drive way. Just curious, without the car running, how can I get it from the side of the road (point A) to the drive way (point B.)? Im really kind of stumped. All I can think of is pushing, but the wheels seem really hard to turn with out the assistance of power steering. Any help you could offer would be appreciated.

if its flat, have one person push, and another steer, the faster u go, the easier it is to turn.

Simple, turn the wheel harder . If your having trouble turning the wheel get out of the car and use your whole body to lug it around. As for getting it into the drive, if there is a grade you can use another car to push it in. Place an old quilt or some towels between the bumper of your car and the one that is pushing and use the powered car to push yours into the garage, gently of coarse.

When my car imobilized like that is what i did was place a quilt on the bumpers (front and back) and had another car push. In your instance, what would happen is you turn the car to the left and then back the car in.

Worked out easiest for me.

you have two options, either pushing or pulling. i've sued everything from cars, trucks, tractor, wench, and manpower to do it. my driveway slopes downward from my garage. i mounted a plate to bolt a wench to to get cars in and out of the garage.
