Are the fuel injectors in a 92 RS 3.1L V6
16lb/hr or 17lb/hr. I really need to know 100% sure, not maybe or should be, or will work.


I posted this before and followed through as far as I could and I still have no answer. I have called the shop that worked on my car, they never called back, I called the local GM Dealer and here is what the parts guy told me when he looked up the part.

Me : 92 RS Fuel Injector 3.1L
Him: (Lots of very slow typing then he finally picks the phone back up)$116 a piece
Me : So are these injectors 16lb/hr or 17lb/hr?
Him: It doesn't say....where are you getting 16lb/hr or 17lb/hr injectors from?
( right then i'm thinking you freaking idiot this is a GM dealership and you can't freaking tell what they are??? maybe he was just the guy that runs the parts computer so i didn't say that......)
Me : Summit Racing
Him: Call them they should be able to tell you what ones you need.
Me : No I have a part # for them, I didn't tell them what engine I had and have them pick the part, I just have a part # So how do I find out?
Him: ..........
Me : If I take out one of the injectors and get the part # can you tell me what it is?
Him: Oh yeah, they will probably be the 17lb stock blah blah blah blah
Me : So 17lb/hr is stock?
Him: Yeah
Me : So how much are they again
Him: (some yelling) He said we can go $99 a piece
Me : ok thanks bye

So what this idiot basically did was talk in circles then told me what I wanted to hear?And I'm still not sure he had a clue what in the hell I was talking about. Well I have tommorow off so I think I will hit every damn shop in this town tommorow and go b*tch at the GM dealer till I get a real answer from one of those places or here.

Seems like yelling is the only thing that gets anything done around this backwords state......

For anyone who cares to know....talked to summit racing and Accel, the stock injectors for a 3.1 are 15lb/hr just like on the 2.8
