Tpi & 4l80e?

I am wondering if a TPI computer can have a chip burned to function with a 4L80E transmission?

I am running an '88 MAF TPI in my 85 K5 Blazer. When my next 700R4 goes out I want to install the 4L80E and not have to use a stand alone computer ($600). Anyone know if it can be done and what needs to be done for the TPI computer to run a 4L80E? I think if a TBI computer can run it a TPI can too right?

Thanks
Harley

No i will not work, a tpi computer does not control the tranny. But it does control the torque converter lock-up function.
