"pocket porting" of heads, good gains?
"pocket porting" of heads, good gains?
I;ve got a spare set of heads, I basically plan on intake gasket matching, and smoothing the valve guide boss, will gains from this actually be worth the trouble?
I;ve got a cam, headers, exhaust, intake, plus my current heads have .020 off, I plan on taking .020 off the spare heads also.
any thing else I can do besides the guide boos, and gasket match?

Nothing fancy?
Look at the MPH on my 305. This is the result of pocket porting, headers, an aftermarket intake, and a cam. I think the pocket porting must have made a big difference as there are others with the same and/or more mods who are about 4 MPH slower. The only difference I see are the heads.

You know whats really sad, my friend has an IROC that runs 13.2's in the 1/4, he has aftermarket heads, mild cam, carb, true dual flowmaster exhaust(awesome!),3.73s, but he has no headers. I;m willing to bet there is some serious power waiting to be uncorked.
