Piston mixup

Hi to everybody !
I had bad main bearings ( https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...readid=240916& ) and therefore I am changing all bearings ( cam, crank, rod ) and the crank ( which is destroyed, too ). Now, all pistons are out and today I started cleaning them. I recognized, that the rod-caps don´t look the same. ( I think they have different weights, is it for the balancing ? ) - Now the problem is : I marked every piston and rod-cap for the proper reinstallation and now I found a marking from the engine-rebuilder, too. Piston 1 and 7 are mixed up. Wouldn´t that hurt tha balance of the engine ? - Can I install piston 1 in bore 7 and vice versa or what should I do ???
Thanks, Uwe

they should weight the same, or close to the same. if you never had any vibration problems i'd reinstall them where i took them out. i've seen lot of engines have marks that didn't corospond to where the part came from.
