to much endplay in roller cam ?

to much endplay in roller cam ?
I have 20 thousandths endplay in my cam. I have read that 7 to 14 thousandths is recomended. Will 20 th. hurt anything? thanks

other then a gauge in the back of the block where the plug is, how do i check it anyway? this is my first non factory style roller motor.
