Pager Alarm system

I couldn't find where to post this, so general/engine has to be the one.. Anyone have experience with the Pager alarm systems?? Anyone know the Websites to the companies that make them?? I'd like to check them out and since my car is bound to be about 1/2 a mile from me next year I was curious what peoples experiences were with them...

Didn't like it, carrying two pagers and a cell phone got lame real quick. You can get some that page your phone or current pager, but I know not those companies. Crutchfield has an alarm you can add a pager to, and Audiovox sells one also, that's all I can remember off the top of my head.

I had an Autopage unit on one of my previous cars (and will be on my Vette soon) and it worked well most of the time. For example, if you are in a mall, range is severely decreased. But anywhere else, should work great. Just goto www.autopageusa.com and check out the AP4000EX pager.

Check out the Compustar - made by Firstech.
Excellent alarm plus remote starter all in one, but the real kicker is the keypad/transmitter: It has a large LCD display on the front which indicates all alarm functions and vehicle status, with full 2 way comunication with the car, and it has excellent range - average about 1/4 mile.
See: www.compustar.org for more details.
