Temp sensor

Just got a quick question for you guys
There is a sensor on the passenger side head and i just installed new Motor with diff heads (Pre 86) and the hole is bigger. So I just figured id make some kind of adapter but that didnt work either because now it is longer and its too close to my headers to get the wire on. My question is do they make a larger sensor that would work the same as the first. Id say the new hole is somewhere in between 1/2 and 5/8 but i havent measured yet.
Thanx in advance

The stock head is 3/8 i think the adapter that i put in it to make it fit was converting 3/8 to 1/2.
But now its hitting my headders

Did you use a reucing sleeve or a bell reducer? A sleeve reducer should keep you within a 1/4inch of where you were.

It'll be a thin threaded sleeve, and will need to be tightened up from the sensor side only..it;ll only be about 1/2-3/4 inch long and fully thread and taper on one end for the NPT.

Try the plumbing department at your local HW store.
