over heating please help!!!!

today I was riding my 1990 camaro RS 3.1L and I noticed that my car was overheating . can someone please tell me the possible causes .

What makes you think it was overheating? What exactly did it do, and when? That's key to figuring out the cause.

I was just driving regular. the car showed it was overheating.(past half)

check if your fans are coming on,,
if they are, then check to see if your stat is opening, also check if your airdam is intact(that piece of plastic under the front bumper)
its gotta be one of these 3

past half? Was it in the red? Mine jumps over the 190 degree mark all the time, if it gets up to the 220 range, then I start to get worried.
