Head Question?
Head Question?
Can I pull any set of heads of of a 305 (L69, LU5, tpi 305, etc) and put them on my Lg4?
I want to fully port and polish a set of heads for my 86, but since its a daily driver I can't afford the down time.
Also at the junkyard, what should I look for, and/or try to avoid?

The headsa you've got are about as good as any you're likely to find in the boneyard. The L69 came with the same castings, number 416. They're everywhere. Caprices with 305 4-barrels all have the LG4 too, so those heads are plentiful. Get a set, port them, and have them worked.
However, none of that will make any difference until you get rid of the exhaust on that car, from the heads to the street; and put a real cam in it. The cam that it has just barely cracks the valves open for just a short period of time, it wouldn't matter if you had AFRs on there, the combo still wouldn't flow.

as far as i know the chamber diameter is the same, volumn could/would be differant. any SBC head will bolt up to you block.

I'm in the process of complety redoing my exhaust, I'm going to get a Comp eXtrme 252H and a edelbrock performer intake. Those the heads and some supension mods should wake up my car 
Like I said early since its my daily driver I can't just pulled the heads and have them worked on. I don't want to go aftermarket because hopefully by Xmas I'll get a 350
