A C ?

Hi!

I was wondering if anyone has ever converted
there older Freon AC over to the new stuff they use.I was in the auto store today and saw a kit you can buy to do the change-over.If anyone has done this let me know how it turned out and how hard or easy it was!

Thanks!

yep I did this. I did it when my compressor broke and the old stuff was so expensive to put in. You just let all the gas out, change your accumulator, compressor, and then put the new gas(r34) in. Not that hard, cost me around 160$ to do it.

89 camaro 305 tbi, flomaster 3 chamber cat back, gutted cat, Edlebrock open element, and a 160 degree T-stat. 2 kicker comp 12"'s, polk for the rest. Phoenix gold xs2300 to subs, kicker impulse 404XI to 4 speakers, pioneer DEH- P7000R head unit, and finally a 12 disc changer. Full leather interior from www.MrMikes.com(its nice)

If your compressor is fine and everything else works well, all you have to do is get the system evacuated and change the fittings and recharge it with R134. If your car is older, you might want to consider getting a new dryer (the cylindrical thing by your heater box)
