Help solve my coolant leak

992 Chevy camaro RS
V8 305 tbi(lol)
61,000 miles

After my car is running for a while it starts leaking all it's coolant and I'm not sure why. Basically It's running out of a little hole on the bottom of what is pictured. It then runs down my lower radiator hose and falls to the ground.

It will drip until there is almost no coolant left in the tank, and it takes about 45 minutes for it to all be gone.

Anyone have any ideas as to why it would be leaking out of that hole? Why is that hole there in the first place?

Edit: To clarify, it's not leaking out of the hole where the arrow is, there is another hole on the bottom that is leaking.

It is the vent hole for your water pump bearings.

It is leaking because the water pump has failed. Specifically, the seal has failed, so now water is getting into the bearing and has flushed out all the grease, so the bearings are running without lube, so within a very short time it will start sounding like someone is shaking a coffee can full of marbles around in front of your engine, and instead of the water dripping out, it woll spew out.

You need a new water pump.

Phew I'm glad it's just the water pump, I thought for a second there I was going to have to replace my intake manifold gaskets AGAIN

Thanks
