Car slow after 350 swap

i had my 305 swapped out to a 350. i kept the same intake manifold and carb (quadrajet) and same exhaust manifolds but got a hooker cat-back. i also got one of those inline elecronic fuel pumps. basicly the problem is its realy slow. the fuel filter makes a loud clicking sound that is quite sometimes and loud others, and when i floor it,it doesnt sound/go and quicker then at half throttle, and sometimesitboggs down a little. also, when i swaped engines i did away with the computer and have a mechanical destributor, but kept the same carb.im thinkin its the fuel line/pump because the metal line is a lil kinked by where it goe into the carb, anyone have any ideas why my cars so slow?

The carb needs the ECM to function properly. If you did away with the ECM, you pretty much tossed the brain of the computer controlled carb out the window.

*edit* Im assuming it came from a USA engine, not a Canadian version.

On a side note, factory manifolds aren't a high performance piece.

All 350s aren't created equal. Some are more equal than others.

What is it built out of? what pistons, what heads (casting number), what cam?

Do you know what pressure your fuel pump is running?

um isnt the quadrajet from 84 controlled by the ECM? i think it is, that's your problem right there, unless it's an older non-ccc carb on there, you need to tell us more, also you may need to change the rods/hanger on the 4bbl to prevent that bogging when you mash it
