Loosing coolant
Loosing coolant
I finished an engine swap recently, and I've noticed that I've been loosing coolant. Everyone tells me that new engines sometimes will use a little oil/coolant in break in. I loose about 8-10 ounces every three or four days. I know that its not leaking out of a hose. I changed the oil after break in and there wasn't any water in it. Also, my overflow isn't "bubbling", so there isn't air being forced into the system. Is this normal?

No it's not normal. It must be going somewhere... hopefully not the transmission!
It might be leaking at the head gasket and getting burned and blown out the tailpipe. Maybe going in and re-torqueing the head bolts will stop it. Seems like a small enough amount to be burned without causing noticable steam out the tailpipe.
Hope this helps you.

I saw a post on entrapped air/aerated (sp?) water in the archives, and I sound like a candidate. I did have a leak in the system from the lower radiator hose. It was a slow leak, but I didn't get a chance to fix it until a few weekends ago, when there wasn't ice and snow on the ground. I've only put like 50-100 miles in like 5 trips on the car since I fixed the leak. I'm not gonna really flip out unless it doens't stop after I start driving it regularly.
