Insert a paper clip into the "A" and "B" terminals of the ALDL port under the driver side knee bolster. Turn the engine to the "on" position and it will blink the codes.

To read the codes, just watch the flashes and the pauses. For instance, if it blinks 1 time, pauses for about 2 seconds and them flashes 2 times, than it is a Code 12 (get it?). When the codes flash, it will always flash Code 12 3 times, then flash the trouble codes 3 times each, and will flash Code 12 3 times again when its done. Once you get the codes, post the number and people can help you from there.
