I see lock up converters for 700r4 transmissions, 30 splines and 27 splines are in JCWHITNEY'S catalog for 179.00. I wish I knew for a fact wich spline I had with my 84 camaro being the transistion year. I still have the lg4 cam. How much would the 2500 stall improve acceleration and affect drivability and gas millage. Olso would it tax my cooling system.
The early model TH700-R4 is likely the smaller input shaft design, and likely a 27 tooth-count spline. You'll really want to check yours to be certain, and may want to shop elsewhere for a TC. GM offers reman TCs with a warranty for about the same price, and the K-Factor (stall RPM) varies widely. You can get a warranted 2,300 RPM stall TC from GM with the TCC for under $200.
Stek - Got the PMs. I'm still researching for technical data on the copper itself. Don't want any misinformation or half-information articles sent out.

Doesn't SLP sell converters? Roughly 2400 stall? Maybe it might be worth giving them a call and seeing what your application is.
Vader- I appreciate the help. I think it's bout time the "confusion" gets set straight.
