O2 trashed by severe rich cond?
Last year on my way to work I had the diaphram in the FPR let go. The engine was running severly rich... tons of smoke etc... while I limped it home.
Now I'm getting code 44 (lean) after the car warms up and I stop at a light too long.
Thinking about getting a new O2 sensor since it's cheap enough but I was wondering if the FPR going out might have led to its demise?

If you've got a catalytic convertor, the pellet bed might have also gotten screwed up, and could be melted up and ready to clog the exhaust... you might want to check on that, too.

I replaced the o2 friday night and still the same. I know that my cold run problem must be somewhere, it's just knowing where to look. I'm gonna research corrent IAC steps at startup now!
