I have an 82 firebird with a 305 quadrajet 4bbl. This car has no horsepower at all. Im thinking about putting the 3 inch flowmaster exhaust on it and edelbrock performer intake and some 3.73 gears. Im trying to do things that wont ruin the engine. It is perfectly in tact and all original with 30,000 miles original on it. It is showroom quality. Anyone have any comments or suggestions that would be much appreciated. I want to make this car as fast as i can without putting a supercharger, blower, or any nitrous crap on it. Thanks for any help.

 

do a search in the carb forum to find out how to tune your carb or find out which one is the best if you want to buy a new one. get an aluminum driveshaft new or from a fourth gen to free up some extra power to your wheels, look at different head and cam options. and dig through the tech articles and FAQ in the home page of this site. hope this helps.
