ok, i was driving back home from deer park saturday night along the LIE, and i went to give my car a little gas, and i noticed it felt a little shaky, and wasnt accelerating... so i gave it more gas, and i noticed the rpm wouldnt go past 2000... so i got a little worried. i pulled over immediately and shut off the car. popped the hood and didnt notice anything strange... i started it back up, but i heard a belt whining sound, and some other sound. so i went around to the engine and gave it some gas, and i heard a bogging sound comming from the front of the car, and a little bit of smoke comming out of the back of the engine near the air conditioning. later my dad told me it was because of the coolant dripping from my intake manifold gasket that was cracked and some got into my air pump... i was going to rebuild the heads because the car burns a little oil, change the gasket, and change the air pump. i have a TPI on my 305. please help because i need the car to be running in a month when school starts. thanks guys!

 

Obviously, if you have leaks and other readily apparent problems, those should be attended to. As for the bogging, have you checked the exhaust for restriction?
