should head bolts be replaced?

again this is about my engine with 8000kms and blown head gasket. should the head bolts be replaced with new ones when it goes back together or can I reuse the same ones?

They're one of those things that you can re-use in all honesty because yours are not torque-to-yield bolts.

But they're also one of those things that are "50$ now, or potentially lots more than 50$ hassle later."

I would get new ones.

for stock applications i never replace them and far as i know have never had a problem

I agree; for stock applications, they're good for a couple of uses at least. There's 17 of them per head, which is really more than necessary. There's not a whole lot of stress on them in a SBC.

If you're boosting or spraying or using extremely high compression, replace them.
