When I put my Jet160 in, both fans came on. I think it's just the way it is. Carefull on your voltage consumption around the time when the fans are coming on. (I know the coolant temperature at which my fans will kick in)...near this point on the guage, make sure your defogger and AC are off. Also, I never run my fog lights on with the fans either. Those two fans coming on at the same time give a serious kick to the alternator...so I've installed a 875CCA battery with custom tray instead of the stock 650CCA piece of crap battery. Put in some new thicker cables as well..

Ron - only one fan is supposed to come on when the coolant reaches temp, which is controlled by the fan switch in the head. The other fan is supposed to come on when the A/C or defrost is selected, and is controlled by a pressure switch in your A/C system. So it sounds to me like someone rigged it's current operation up...

Yep, both fans will come on. I guess the ECM turns on the other fan cause my AC is off and it still always comes on. I'm thinking of wiring a switch with a relay to turn on the second one though as it really isn't needed except on very warm days or when stuck in traffic.
