What to do.... Running 416s with Serpentine Setup...
Alright, I'm about to drop my motor into the car right now, and I go to mock up the a/c bracket on the motor while its on the stand, and I notice a problem. I'm using a set of 416 castings. These heads came from a Thirdgen with V-belts. The drivers side head has all three accessory bolt holes, but the passenger side only has one. So heres my problem... what do I bolt the black ground cable that goes from the battery to the cylinder head? On my old 305, it went to one of the accessory bolt holes on the head. Also, the A/C bracket attaches to the block on the bottom with two bolts, and to the head on the top with two more bolts. I only have one bolt hole on the head though, would that be enough support for the bracket? Using two bolts on the block, but only one on the head?
I was thinking that I could try placing the ground cable under the A/C bracket and having them bolted onto the same spot. I think that would work, and I don't think it would affect the pulley alignment significantly.
I am not looking forward to having to drill bolt holes on the head right now.

Looks like 3 bolts will have to work, I don't think drilling the head is an option, in fact it probably can't be done due to lack of any boss casted in.
You can put the ground strap on any bracket hole that has good contact to the block surface. IIRC, mines on the AC bracket as well. Don't put the cable between the bracket and block, just put it ...bolt/cable/bracket/block..orientation.
