hmmm...gear drive issues, not the normal ones

ok so i supposedly bought a pete jackson quiet drive and did all my research before so it should work on the new engine. but (now keep in mind ive never built an engine before) i was messing around just now and couldnt get the crank gear over the crank!!!!! is there a difference in 350 (or 305) and 400 crank diameters where the crank gear would go????? apparently this works just fine on 350 engines (as it was on one before) but unless you really just have to use a BFH and pound that thing on it isnt fitting!!!

No difference in the diameter of the crank snout. Grab a mic and measure the top and bottem of the crank snout, see if it balloned out a bit at the top, BFH damage.

Don't force it. I used a rubber mallet, not my BFH.
