OVERHEATING
OVERHEATING
Well I have replaced the block coolant sensor, the fan relay and dunno what else to do. The fan still doesn't come on when I get the car nice and hot and I can't go far or it does overheat. I dunno what else to check.
Also a second minor problem. You know when you start your car the revs stay up then come down eventually to idle after warm up. Well my car does this right now while it is hot. I think the car thinks it is still cold and is therefore running rich.
If anyone can help PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME. Thax

Ok I have checked fan motor, relay, coolant block switch, coolant fan switch, the air dam is there, the computer throw's no codes and yet I idle 150-200rpms to fast and have no fan therefore over heat. WHAT IS GOING ON HERE??????

AS Ron mentioned before, did you check the fusable link? Should be up by the battery, might be a fuse thinking about it, but it's kinda hidden, floow the wiring.
My guess if neither fan comes on, you either have no voltage, or no ground.

You need to start from square one. From under the car with the ignition on, ground the fan switch wire. If the one of the fans comes on, then that circuit is ok and it's most likely a gauge problem. If not, then you'll have to check all possible sources of discontinuity within the fan circuit.
The other fan is controlled by the ECM. From what you said about the idle, it is very possible that the ECM is not reading the coolant temp. correctly. You said you replaced the coolant temp sensor. Did you replace the one for the gauge or the ECM. The one for the ECM is located just above the water pump. Is it throwing codes? If you can get the computer on a diagnostic machine and see exactly what the computer is doing, that will should pinpoint the problem. Could very well be a bad ECM too.
As far as the high idle, if the fan problem is not related, then check the linkage to the throttle body. If that's ok, then use the procedure in Chilton manual on how to set the TPS and IAC.
