My 92 RS

A few questions. 1. Whats the average HP and torque of a 305 TBI engine stock, and how much of an increase could u get w/ an average set of headers? 2. Was the 305 TBI an HO engine? 3. The speakers in the back sound like they are coming from the wheel hubs, is that where they are located because i cant seem to find them. I there an aftermarket in-dash tachometer I can get, if so where? All and any help is appreciated fellas.

I'm going to move this to the Tech/General Engine board because of multiple questions regarding several topics. It definitely does not belong on the History/Restoration board.

Joey, you had three separate post on the History/Restoration board and none have anything to do with history or restoration. From now on, consider what board you're posting on before you post. Thanks.

You should be getting around 170Hp stock at the rear wheels. A set of headers will give you a little more HP but you will loose some torque off the line. If your looking for a good upgrade go for an open element and good cat back exhaust. The major HP killers on this car are the swirl port heads and one hell of a small cam.

2. The L03 was anything but a high output motor.

3. The rear speakers are located behind the sail panels on either side of the back seats.

I don't know about the aftermarket tach...check with AutoMeter.

if you have the bose system, your speakers are in the trunk cover. they're pretty obvious though.. now that I read the post.. they're in your sail pannels.
