Confused about Lobe Separation Angle
What effect does this have on my motor or on my computer? I am bulding a 355 with Vortec heads. Currently, the car has an LG4 in it and I will be using the CC carb, distributer, and the rest of the computer stuff on the 355. I looked at Comp Cams about the Extreme Energy 262 and 268 grinds and found out that they make two of each (one for TPI and one for carb) and the only real difference was that the TPI cam uses 114 LSA and the carb one uses 110 LSA. I don't know which one of which grind will work with the computer. I want to keep the computer stuff hooked up due to my being military and I never know when I will have to move. Thanks guys!

less LSA means more overlap.
More overlap Means less Vaccum, and Higher emissions.
Sooo.....
Since the Computer on the TPI cars uses vaccum To monitor various things, More overlap causeing less vaccum will throw it out of Whack.
Get the Non TPI Cam, Your LG4 ECM dosent care. ( and Even if It did, Not alot it can Do about it. )
And get the 268, The 262 Is Mild In My stock 305, with 50 more cubes, you want that extra duration and lift
And How exactly Do you plan To use Vortech heads with the CCC carb ?
Either the redrilled heads, Or does eddie Make a performer RPM Vortech Spreadbore, I didnt think so...
Im Not bein a smartass, Just wondering )

I was going to use the Performer Vortec P/N 2116, it is spreadbore. They now have Performer Air-Gap, but I don't know if that will fit under the hood.

comp and lunati both have great cam tech in their catalogs, and most likely their web sites. if you're messing with cams you should get one or both.
