sputter at idle

Car: 1986 Iroc-Z28

Engine: stock 305

Transmission: stock 700r4

sputter at idle

My 86 Iroc ( 305, nothing special) has about a 200 rpm sputter at idle, kind of intermittent. Should I be looking in the direction of fuel issues or ignition/timing?

I would be inclined to look for a vacuum leak have you checked the vacuum hoses lately?
