whats going on?
well look at my sig, thats my best run at the track tonight, for the first time with this new camaro.
one main problem i noticed is it was shifting at 5500rpm! it should shift about 45-4600 rpm. i believe thats killing my time. but what else?
my 60 foot was a 2.316

And if all thats been done is what's listed, I'm not suprised by the times, considering the 60 ft. Think about it. The 700 is already slow through the gears, especially 1 and 2. Then put that through a 2.77 rear. You aren't going anywhere fast.

im saying it shifts at 5500, though it should be shifting around 4500 cuz thats where the peak is on tpi systems.
i forgot to mention, during one of the races i got a code 32 and 36. but they went away after one lap and never came back.
also, i have an exhaust leak.

Ah ok.
New confusion: Yuu post 1/4 mile times. Then you say:
Are you going in circles or from a light?
Adjust the TV cable. Also, run a few more times. you want the ideal shift pattern? Adjust the cable and go find one. Thats the ONLY way.
*edit* so fix the exhaust leak. I doubt thats hurting you though.
*edit again* Still hasn't changed much since <A HREF="https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/showthread.php?s=&threadid=223258&highlight=ideal+shift+point">THIS THREAD</A>

I'll try to be easy on you here...
Your car is slow. not at all fast. Third-gens were bitch cars from the factory. Low to mid 15s are the norm. 14s can be had with stock hardware, if the car is running exceptionally well. Anyone who claims 13s bone stock, (other than the turbo t/a and those cars) is full of it. Thats the way it is. L98s are not fast in stock form. If your car is essentially stock, you'll get stock like timeslips...
Not to get off topic, but it always cracked me up that rather than trying to soup up the L98 for the 20th anniversery cars, GM decided it would be easier to just stab the buick motor in, and bassically redesign the entire drivetrain... it only goes to show...

ok what i ment by laps is one run down the track, then i parked, let car cool off till i could run the track again.
that thread you linked to from me was back in february when i had my old RS 5speed.
i didnt know by adjusting th TV cable, i could adjust the shift point.
main reason im concerned is my RS pulled 15.6 stock except the k&n filter and flowmaster. my 305TBI is only .3 slower then my 350TPI
