did it make this noise before you changed the plugs ???

if not check to see if you put the right plugs ( proper length ) in and its not hitting the top of the piston .

i have seen this more than once on peoples vehicles ive worked on because it had a "knock"

Also, double and triple check to make sure the plug is good and snug.

did you happen to dorp any thing into where the spark plug screws in to? that could be your "knock" as well. ive seen it a couple times. resulting in this

3 common "knocksh" noises:

1.) ticking noise: generally associated with a bad valve lash setting or an exhaust leak. This is kinda, but not really bad.

2.) pinging: I've seen this described as the sound of marbles in a coffee can. Detonation is occuring. This is bad.

3.) engine knock: spund bearing, usually the rods, perhaps a main. It's a dull metallic thunking coming from the center of the block. This is really bad.

I might add this, check your wires, make sure you don't cross them??? Did you break the plug for cylinder 3 by chance? Might check it for damage.

ok i took the spark plugs out i had in i'm just replacng the one i broke and the other one i took out till i can get it to my shop and lean the car out it's running a lil rich. but. both looked good. it really could be a valuve. that would make more sense. spark plug was the same size also. just a lil better plug kinda loner on the withe though. other wise thier nice a snug. i've ruled out detonation. cause i'm sure i don't have a 10.5 or high compression ratio. and it sounds like it's coming from the top of cyl 3. i'm gonna take off the valuve cover and see wahts going on. thanks for the help. ohh and afet a mild drive and letting it sit in idle the plugs seems white with a lol bit og black. dunno were that came form it was spotted in diffrent' palces. .... proablly a bad thing. i just used some lucaus oil stabilzer. and it seems to help seal alot up. car doens' smoke bad when i start it in the morings. no more puff of blue. i'll post waht i find tommaorw
