13 second cars....

What are you running to get into the 13s. I have to rebuild the motor and while the motor is out, I would like to get into the 13s. It would be great if I could use only bolt ons like headers, cat-back, runners, cam etc.
I have a LB9 but it is soon the be a L98. Oh yeah I have the T-5 so don't need and converters of the sort.
Thanks

Car: 2002 SOM z28
Engine: LS1
Transmission: T-56
Gears will help... 3.73s

Port the heads, get new springs.

New cam... CC262 is a good bet.

350 will get you there a lot easier then a 305.

Carb is good... TPI is good... TBI *****

Traction help will get you there.

Just some suggestions.

while you have it down upgrade the cam, maybe pistons, AFPR, flow match the injectors (if port injected), SFCs, gears

TBI is not bad for getting into the 13's. Sure GM did make the motor quite weak but TBI itself is great. In more ways then one it is better then carb, and I would put TBI on before a carb. Cam, Head and you should in high to mid 13's with out a problem. If you want more goto a 350. The 305 can put out a lot of power but its alot easier to do it with a 350. Mine has G-tech'd at 13.9 and another car on the TBI board is doing 13.4.

the guy who i bought the camaro from says it has 3.63 gears, do you think he ment 3.73? Ok, what about some headers, cat-back, Copmucam 2032??, has an airfoil, port the plenum and gasket match everything on a 350 TPI motor. Where do you think I will stand in the 1/4 mile and what kind of hp.
