some of my friends said that when i am just putting along at idle, my car makes this popping noise that sounds like its coming from the back of the car. i don't know if this is the exhaust or the rear end. i can hear it bouncin off walls and things that are close to the road when i drive it. does anyone have any suggestions to what it is???

Hard to tell what a sound is from a written description, but it could be that a heatshield has loosened up a bit. If it makes the noise while you are sitting stoped just get down on the ground and listen around until you can tell where its coming from. I highly doubt its something inside the rearend though.
ive gotten on the ground and listened all the way around the car and can't hear it. it only does it when movin for some reason. i have no idea what it could be, ill chech the heat shields though.
