initial start up
initial start up
I'm driving a 92RS. When starting cold, the engine cranks 12-16 times then fires up. It runs as great as a mostly stock LO3 with a recent tune up will. Follow up starts throughout the day and evening wil be 2-3 cranks, then fire up. No big deal, but I figure with my open element the fuel left in the system just evaporates. I don'tsee my injectors dripping after shutdown. There seems to be a 5 or 6 hour window for the start to take longer. Any ideas?

Does your fuel pump run when you turn the key to run for a couple of seconds before you start? If it doesn't I would check the FP relay. Or maybe the check valve in the fuel pump is defective letting the fuel pressure bleed off to 0 PSI after it sits for some time.
