computer help!!!!

computer help!!!!

this swap is geting bigger and bigger everytime......since im putting in a 350 in my 85 T/A ive been told i will have to get rid of the computer......how do i do this? is this a bigger undertaking then i think....cuz i have no idea where to start.....please help

Transmission: 5 speed
Axle/Gears: it's part of the transmission
the computer is inside the dash on the passengers side,easilly accesable. (9/32" hex screws)remove the panel underneath the dash,, the computer is the box with lots of wires attached. it's static sensitive,so keep yourself grounded,don't wear a sweater,ect. it will run with the 305 computer,a custum burned chip should help it run a little better.

well im ditchin all the emissions too...so i dont think it will like that....and the carb is a non computer carb.....so i dont think it will work at all.....will it? if it will i have no idea how to mess with the computer or chips or anything, thats totally new to me.......

You won't need the computer at all then. Yes, you will need a new distributor. If you have an auto tranny I think you will also need a device to lock the torque convertor. There are a whole bunch of posts on this topic. Do a search for "computer" or somthing along those lines and you should get what you need.
