Cat and Muffler Smoking
The car is an 87 Z with tpi. There was smoke coming from both the cat and muffler. There was a good amount of smoke. It seemed to be coming right off the muffler and cat. Any ideas why that would happen? We just got done replacing the intake manfiold gasket but it started to smoke a couple days before we messed with anything. When we took it for maybe a 10 min test drive the car ran rough and lacked power. It also stalled on us a couple times. Any help is appreaciated.

well I drove it around tonight for like 7 min and got the temp up to 220. I checked the cat out but it was not glowing. I did notice some poping noises while I was checking it out with the car running in park. Any other ways to tell if the cat's bad? It also smells like its running a little rich.
Is it possible coolant is getting into the exhaust system? Im just wondering why it wouldnt be coming out of the tips then. The smoke seems to be coming from the ends of the muffler.
Any other possibilities that could cause this?
