Carbed 350 runs poorly
I have a stock 67 350 motor with a rebuilt q-jet carb. Everything on the motor is stock as far as i can tell. I have replaced the cap/rotor, plugs and wires. The engine likes to fire right up, but will have a very hard time idleing if it does, and pops like crazy. If i get on it and it does not stumble and pretty much fire flames out of the carb, it will some what smooth out when i get the secondaries open, with the ocasional pop.
My question is, could it be bad timing, carbs falt, or HEI?
It did run alot smoother when i had the carb first rebuilt, but 50-75 miles latter it started acting up. I just got this motor in a trade, and had it droped into another vehicle of mine.
when i do get on the car a little it sounds way boged and does not feel like it pulling.
All new fuel lines, and filter, stock mech pump
