Timing Questions

I have a 91 RS, 305tbi, 700R4.

Mods- K&N Open element, flow through lid.
All new Ignition system, oem. Except for the in cap ignition moduel.
High-Flow cat.
Flowmaster cat back 40series.
Hypertech thermomaster chip.

I curently have the timing set at 0degrees base timing with out computer control.
With computer control I have about 12degrees base timing. Does this sound good or should I add some base timing? <--- Main Question.

I just got back from the track tonight here are the results.

Reaction= 0.361
60ft= 2.31
1/8= 6.676
ET= 16.005

I was leaving the line at an idle. still had eather light-mild tire spin or medium wheel hop.

The only suspension mods are a whole new front end, and a Polygraphite tranny mount.
I am running on 235/60/r15

I don't get how people have wheel hop or traction problems when they run 16's... I was running 15.9's and I had NO Traction Problems, I MEAN THEY DIDN'T EVEN CHURP, I just went.

My 60fts were 2.29, fastest 1/4 was 15.923 at 84.59. I am only running 225/60/15 tires and their super cheapies from some little tire place.

Now back to the question, my friend has a 90 RS with TBI and a Stage 2 chip, he runs between 6-8 degrees base, where the chip calls for 0 degrees base, so he's adding a bit of timing, he said it helped his times quite a bit... So as long as you stay away from Detonation or Ping, I'm sure it couldn't hurt to run a little more timing.
