i need to set my timing and it says i need to consult the vehicle emissions control instructions located under my hood to tell me what to do to set my timing. But there is nothing under there so can somebody please tell me what i need to do set the timing.
Note: 86 iroc w/ tuned port

 

You need to follow the procedure and adjust your distributor to the specified advance.

There's a procedure in the Tech Articles section linked on the main page. Whip out your timing light and distributor wrench.

 

Open the hood, then look UP. You should see one of these:



It should have instructions to set your base timing to 6° BTC.
