Anyone have the Holley Systemax Package

Just curious. It would make things a bit easier when it comes to picking heads and intake and cam. Thanks.

What would you like to know? I have the smog legal kit (300-504) that supposedly should make ~400 fwhp/tq. I have not yet installed my engine, let alone completed it (waiting for exterior parts and headers to order/arrive, repectively). I am also working on an M5 conversion and will be rebuilding the suspension, so the engine will have to wait to be dropped in for awhile. But, yes that is why I choose the kit (although mine was more expensive than the non-legal kit (300-503?)), it is a better selection of matched components.

I was curious to know what people have dynoed at, etc. How the finish on the ports look. I looked at their site along with Jegs and Summitt and it is looking better and better. I am going to buy a 82 Camaro so emissions is not an issue. Thankfully. Thanks.

The ports are chamfered and de-burred at the entry/exit (intake/exhaust) and have an as-cast finish. The intake port size is very similar in size to Fel-Pro gaskets 1204, I purchased 1205s (no cross-over provision) because I was going to port the heads at the time. Since then, I have opted not to. The exhaust ports are perfect for 1-5/8", but possible reverbsion could happen. I opted to mate them to 1-3/4" SLPs to help eliminate that. If you want pics of the heads (mainly exhaust ports, as the engine is almost assembled), let me know.

No, that is ok. Thanks for the info. That is what I was looking for. Sounds like for the mild engine I was looking at doing, basically just the top end, this sounds like a good place to start. If I go more radical later on, I could do the heads up and go with a more radical cam and intake. Thanks.

Anyone else with some track times or dyno pulls?
