Back Pressure VS Timing

I was just wondering what effect back pressure has on timing. I was thinking of getting rid of my cat since i dont drive it on the street much anymore. I would think that less back pressure would remove gasses from the cylinder better which would make it run cooler so you could add more timing. Am I correct or am I just way off.
Thanx in advance

Do you have any idea about the can of worms you are tying to open? That question ranks right up there w/ "Camaro vs Firebird" or "HP vs Torque" or "TPI vs TBI"

Do a search on backpressure. you should find out what you want to know.
